- United States and Israel negotiate humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza.
- Mechanism aims to prevent Hamas from receiving assistance.
- Gaza has been under blockade for three months.
Officials from the United States and Israel are in talks to establish a mechanism that would allow direct humanitarian aid to be delivered to Gaza while avoiding Hamas’ involvement, according to CNN reports.
An official announcement is expected in the coming days, revealed a U.S. State Department official and an Israeli source familiar with the matter.
Israel’s blockade of Gaza, now approaching its third month, has raised serious concerns about the humanitarian situation in the region.
President Donald Trump recently emphasized the need to improve conditions in Gaza during a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The proposed mechanism would ensure that aid reaches the Palestinian population without being diverted by groups such as Hamas or Islamic Jihad.
According to a State Department spokesperson, a private foundation would manage this process to guarantee Israel’s security and Gazans’ access to essential supplies.
“With safeguards in place, Israel can maintain its security, Hamas won’t benefit, and Gaza’s residents receive the aid they desperately need,” the spokesperson said, emphasizing Trump’s commitment to assisting Gaza.
Specific details about how this will be implemented in the besieged enclave have not yet been disclosed.
Proposed Alternative to Prevent Hamas from Receiving Aid

The United States hopes that the United Nations and other international aid organizations will operate under this new framework managed by the private foundation.
According to Axios reports, representatives from the U.S., Israel, and the foundation are close to reaching an agreement to resume aid deliveries. However, Israeli sources have not confirmed the deal’s immediacy.
The prolonged blockade has prevented the entry of humanitarian aid and commercial goods into Gaza for over two months, marking an unusually long period of restrictions by Israel.
While Israel defends these measures as a way to pressure Hamas to release hostages, international organizations have criticized the actions.
They argue that these policies violate international law and accuse Israel of using starvation as a weapon of war—an act that could constitute a war crime under some legal interpretations.
