Authorities have arrested a woman from Texas for allegedly placing razor blades inside food sold at two Walmart stores in the state of Mississippi.

The case triggered safety alerts among law enforcement, customers, and the retail chain itself.

The incident occurred in early December and was confirmed by the Biloxi Police Department, which has already filed formal charges against the suspect.

The accused was identified as Camille Benson, 33, who is facing a charge of attempted mayhem after multiple consumers reported finding razor blades hidden inside bakery products purchased at different stores in the same city.

Customers Report Razor Blades Found Inside Food

According to police information, the first report was received on December 5, when a customer notified employees at a Walmart Supercenter in Biloxi that a razor blade had been found hidden inside a loaf of bread purchased at the store.

Following that alert, a preliminary review of the product was conducted and local authorities were notified.

Days later, on December 8, a second customer filed a similar complaint after buying bread at a Walmart Neighborhood Market, also located in Biloxi.

In that case, the customer said nothing unusual was noticed at the time of purchase and that the blade was discovered only after opening the product at home.

Authorities noted that both incidents showed matching patterns, allowing investigators to move quickly and identify a suspect, reinforcing concerns linked to razor blades found in Walmart bread.

Police Investigation and Charges Filed Against Camille Benson

The Biloxi Police Department reported that Camille Benson was arrested Tuesday and taken into custody.

According to investigators, the woman allegedly acted deliberately by tampering with the products, leading to the charge of attempted mayhem—a legal classification that applies to actions that endanger the physical safety of others in public spaces.

Police stated that, so far, there is no evidence indicating that other Walmart locations were affected.

As a precaution, however, authorities urged anyone who purchased bread from the two identified stores to carefully inspect their food and report any irregularities.

Camille Benson’s bond was set at $100,000 as the judicial process moves forward.

Walmart’s Response and Safety Recommendations

Walmart issued a statement saying that the health and safety of its customers is its top priority.

The company said it removed and thoroughly inspected all potentially affected products at the identified stores and is fully cooperating with authorities.

Walmart also advised that any customer who may have purchased a tampered product should discard it immediately and visit their local store for a full refund.

Meanwhile, authorities continue monitoring the situation to rule out additional risks tied to the case involving razor blades found in Walmart bread.
