The community of Dubberly breathed a collective sigh of relief when Peyton Saintignan, a 10-year-old girl, was found safe after a day of intense search efforts in the woods surrounding her home.
The young girl was last seen on the night of September 14, when she was preparing for bed, dressed in «Frozen» pajamas and barefoot.
Her disappearance caused significant concern among her family and neighbors.
On the morning of September 15, Peyton’s parents, alarmed by her absence, notified authorities.

News of her disappearance spread quickly, and soon, hundreds of volunteers and multiple local and state agencies joined the search.
Search and rescue teams began combing the area, using tracking dogs and advanced technology to try to locate the girl.
During the search, a trail camera captured images of Peyton Saintignan walking in the area, allowing rescuers to focus their efforts in that direction.
As the day went on, anxiety grew, but the determination of the rescuers and volunteers remained steadfast.
Drones Helped Locate Peyton Saintignan in the Woods
With the support of drones equipped with thermal imaging technology, teams were able to locate Peyton around 11 p.m. on the night of September 15.
She was found sleeping on the forest floor, approximately 300 yards from where she had last been seen. The use of drone technology proved critical in her rescue.
Emergency medical services (EMS) quickly arrived on the scene to assess her condition.
Fortunately, Peyton Saintignan was found in good health, though she was a bit hungry.
