A Nepalese plane, specifically in the town of Kathmandu, suffered a horrific accident shortly after taking off from the airport.

The images are going viral across all social media platforms as it’s shocking to see how the plane takes off, then crashes and explodes.

According to reports from ‘AP‘, 18 people died, and miraculously, the pilot of the Nepalese plane survived.

Basanta Rajouri police rescued the bodies of the 18 victims who perished.

Nepalese Plane Crashes After Taking Off from Airport

The surviving pilot was rushed to the hospital to treat his injuries, but his identity and physical condition are unknown.

It is said that he might have suffered eye injuries but was not in life-threatening condition, according to rumors.

The Nepalese plane belonged to Saurya Airlines, and the incident occurred when it took off at 11:11 AM from Kathmandu, heading to Pokhara.

In the footage shared by the ‘X’ account UHN Plus, you can see someone recording the tragedy, showing the plane taking off, turning to the right, and then crashing and exploding.

The Bodies of the Victims

The bodies of the victims were taken to the T.U. Teaching Hospital for autopsies; the plane had 2 pilots and 17 passengers on board.

It is known that the victims were all of Nepalese nationality.

While authorities were working at the scene, Tribhuvan International Airport was closed to both domestic and international flights.
