- Threats against ICE agents
A Mexican citizen identified as Eduardo Aguilar, 23, was arrested in Dallas, Texas.
He was accused of using the social media platform TikTok to offer money in exchange for killing agents from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas.
The young man faces federal charges for transmitting threats across interstate or foreign communications — a crime that could carry up to five years in prison if convicted.
According to the sworn affidavit, Aguilar posted a video on October 9 showing a photograph of Dallas with a message in Spanish that read:

“I need 10 guys in Dallas with determination (guts) who aren’t afraid to kill,” followed by two skull emojis.
Authorities say the accused offered $10,000 for each ICE agent killed and that the TikTok account was traced back to his identity.

The FBI in Dallas, working with local police, made the arrest on October 14, finding a 9mm handgun in his vehicle.
Possession of the weapon further complicates his case, as individuals without legal status in the United States are prohibited from owning or carrying firearms under federal law.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Aguilar entered the U.S. in 2018 as an unaccompanied minor and had an active deportation order since 2019.
His irregular immigration status could affect the criminal process, as the charge for making threats on TikTok adds to violations of immigration and firearm laws.
So far, neither Aguilar’s defense attorneys nor ICE representatives have responded to requests for comment on the case.
Authorities’ reaction
Acting U.S. Attorney Nancy E. Larson stated that threats against federal agents are unacceptable and warned that the government will act decisively against such conduct.
“All threats will be thoroughly investigated. Anyone who offers a bounty for our agents will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent possible,” Larson said in an official statement.
The case of the Mexican arrested in Dallas remains under investigation as federal prosecutors prepare to formally present charges before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
If convicted, Aguilar could face a federal prison sentence followed by immediate deportation to Mexico.
