Lucero expressed her sorrow over the death of writer Jorge Lozano Soriano, who passed away in the early minutes of December 25.

The author was responsible for some of the most successful melodramas produced by Televisa, including the project that marked a defining moment in the singer’s acting career.

Through social media, the artist shared a farewell message for the creator of Lazos de Amor, the telenovela she starred in at age 26.

“Jorge Lozano Soriano, fly high, and know that you will always remain in my mind and my heart,” she wrote in an Instagram story.

Lucero publicly thanked the Argentine writer for his television legacy, whose stories continue to resonate with audiences.

In her message, she highlighted the personal significance of the telenovela in which she portrayed the triplets María Paula, María Fernanda, and María Guadalupe.

“Thank you for leaving an unparalleled legacy on television… and especially for Lazos de Amor, which was and continues to be my treasure in my life as an actress,” the singer expressed.

She closed her tribute by emphasizing the creator’s qualities: “Admirable, intelligent, brilliant, loving, capable, unique, and irreplaceable.”

The Career of a Reference Figure in Mexican Television

The writer’s passing was announced through a message published on his Facebook profile.

“With deep sorrow, we regret to inform you that Mr. Jorge Lozano Soriano passed away today at 12:50 a.m.,” the statement read.

The message also thanked those who could accompany the family in bidding a final farewell to the creative mind.

Born in Santa Fe, Argentina, Lozano Soriano began his career in his home country before moving to Mexico in the 1980s.

A Legacy That Marked Generations

At Televisa, he established himself as one of the most influential writers, particularly for his contribution to classic melodrama.

Among his most notable works were episodes of Mujer, casos de la vida real, hosted by Silvia Pinal.

He also wrote emblematic telenovelas such as Te Amo, Tiempo de Amar, Mi pequeña Soledad, and Bajo un mismo rostro.

His final melodrama was La esposa virgen, a project that closed out a prolific and impactful career on Mexican television.

The Bond with Lazos de Amor Lives On

The professional relationship between Lucero and Lozano Soriano resulted in one of the most remembered telenovelas of the 1990s.

The story, produced by Carla Estrada, required Lucero to portray three distinct characters who became part of her artistic identity.

Lucero also recalled her fellow cast members, including Luis José Santander, Juan Manuel Bernal, and Orlando Miguel.

Her social media tribute echoed the affection and gratitude the actress continues to hold for the writer who shaped a pivotal chapter of her career, as reported by Univisión.
