Violence has once again shaken the entertainment world following the murder of Carolina Flores, a 27-year-old former beauty queen.

The young woman, who represented Baja California in Miss Teen Universe, died after being shot in Mexico City.

The events occurred on April 15 in a property located in Polanco, one of the most exclusive areas of the capital.

The case has caused public shock and an investigation that, so far, points toward the victim’s closest circle.

According to early reports, Carolina was with her partner, Alejandro, and her mother-in-law, Érika María, at the time of the attack.

It was Alejandro himself who went to the Public Prosecutor’s Office the following day to report what happened.

In his initial statement, he pointed to his mother as the alleged perpetrator of the crime.

However, several elements have raised doubts about how the events unfolded and what actually happened inside the residence.

Forensic evidence and contradictions in Carolina Flores’ murder case

Local media reported that the model suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head, neck, and cheek.

However, the building’s security guard stated that he did not hear any gunshots on the day of the crime.

The Fiscalía General de Justicia de la Ciudad de México carried out a search of the property.

At the scene, authorities found a firearm, “seven spent shell casings and four deformed bullets,” according to reports cited by N+.

Femicide classification and demand for justice

As of now, the victim’s mother-in-law has not been located by authorities.

The crime has been classified as femicide and occurred on the same day another woman died under similar circumstances.

Friends and family have expressed their grief on social media. One close acquaintance wrote: “A rotten heart took her life; she truly did not deserve this ending…”

Carolina’s mother, Reynna, called for a demonstration with the message: “Peaceful march. Let her name not become just another statistic! Justice for Carolina Flores Gómez.”

The march is scheduled for April 25, starting from CEARTE Ensenada and moving along Boulevard Costero.
