Chiquinquirá Delgado surprised many by speaking openly about her personal life in a recent interview.
The Venezuelan television host shared little-known details about her relationship with journalist Jorge Ramos.
During a podcast conversation, she recalled how her story with the well-known communicator began.
Her words revealed a more intimate side of one of the media world’s most stable couples, especially when discussing Jorge Ramos as a father.
From Friendship to Unexpected Love
Delgado explained that their connection began naturally and without any clear plan. “We started as friends and book companions, and little by little the relationship developed,” she said.
The presenter admitted that after going through a divorce, she was not considering starting another romantic relationship. “Obviously, I didn’t have it in my mind to start a relationship with anyone… but God has other plans,” she explained.

Over time, that connection grew until they became a couple. However, beyond the romantic aspect, there is something Delgado values even more deeply.
For her, the most meaningful part of their relationship has been Jorge Ramos as a father figure in her family life, a role she says marked a turning point in her story.
The Bond With Carlota, Her Greatest Treasure
The host highlighted the special relationship between the journalist and her daughter Carlota. “He met Carlota when she was just a few months old, and I think that’s a big step,” she said.
According to Delgado, starting a relationship with someone who already has a baby requires a deeper level of commitment. “I think it has been the most beautiful part of my relationship,” she added emotionally.
Delgado clarified that her daughter has her biological father, but she emphasized Ramos’ constant presence. “Even though Carlota obviously has her dad, the one who is with her, who takes her to school, who shares raising Carlota with me, is him,” she explained.
The TV host described that bond as a blessing. “They have such a beautiful relationship,” she said, calling it “the greatest blessing” and “a great treasure” in her life—an example of Jorge Ramos as a father beyond the public spotlight.

Far from the serious image he projects on television, Delgado revealed a completely different side of the journalist at home. “Carlota can count on him,” she emphasized while speaking about their close relationship.
“That serious man you see on the news—you can’t imagine him, for example, dressed as SpongeBob on Halloween,” she said with a laugh. She also described him lying on the floor playing with Carlota or letting her put makeup on him.
According to Delgado, in the privacy of family life he is entirely different. “That Jorge, at home laughing with Carlota, singing, or using funny nicknames—it’s something else,” she explained.
She also praised his dedication to fatherhood overall. “As a dad, I’ve never met a more dedicated and selfless father. That’s the part of him I admire the most and the one that melts my heart the most as a woman and as a mother,” she concluded.
