- ICE Door-to-Door Operations
- Historic Increase in Agents
- Deportations to Intensify
Americans can expect a much more aggressive approach to immigration enforcement in the coming months, according to federal officials.
Vice President JD Vance stated that ICE will go “door to door” to locate undocumented immigrants across the United States.
The measure is part of President Donald Trump’s plans to carry out what has been described as the largest mass deportation effort in the country’s history.
Authorities say the strategy will involve more agents, expanded resources, and extensive use of personal data collected by private contractors.

During a Fox News broadcast on January 7, Vance outlined the scope of the new immigration strategy.
He said ICE will intensify its presence in communities nationwide in the coming months, according to USA Today.
According to the vice president, agents will carry out direct operations to locate undocumented immigrants.

Vance noted that immigration enforcement became more aggressive starting in 2025.
He added that this approach will deepen significantly this year.
“With all the major investments we’ve made in border security, we’ve managed to remove 2.5 million undocumented immigrants,” he said.
He added that those removals occurred without fully implementing all planned measures.
Vance insisted that deportation figures will continue to rise.
This will happen, he said, as more people begin working directly for ICE.
The vice president emphasized that agents will go “door to door” to ensure removals.
He also stated that anyone wishing to return to the country must do so through established legal channels.
More Agents and Expanded Operational Capacity

Federal officials say ICE now has nearly agents and investigators.
That figure represents more than double the roughly 10,000 agents reported last year.
In addition, more than 10,000 new agents are expected to deploy in the coming months.
These agents will be equipped with personal data collected by private contractors.
Authorities did not provide specific details on how that data will be used.
From the White House, officials claim that 2.5 million people have already been deported from the United States, as part of the planned mass deportations.
They also say others are under pressure to leave the country.
Officials promised that many more people will depart “one way or another.”
No additional figures or specific timelines were provided.
Context and Political Reactions
VP Vance promised that, with 10,000 new ICE agents on the street and new investments in border security, deportations would “ramp up” in 2026.
This comes after many Trump supporters expressed disappointment over the number of confirmed deportations in 2025.

Vance’s remarks came just hours after an incident in Minneapolis, where an ICE agent fatally shot a woman inside her vehicle.
The incident occurred during what was described as a chaotic confrontation.
Federal authorities have not released additional details about the case.
From the White House, officials accused Democrats of encouraging illegal immigration.
According to those claims, the goal is to reshape the country’s voting patterns.
JD Vance linked the immigration strategy to strengthening national security.
He argued that the increase in agents will allow immigration law to be enforced more effectively.
“I think we’re going to see deportation numbers increase,” he said.
He reiterated that this would happen as more personnel become operational within ICE.
The vice president stressed that the priority is ensuring the removal of undocumented immigrants.
He also emphasized that reentry would only be possible through formal legal applications.
The White House maintains that the policy will continue to escalate throughout the year, reinforcing the expansion of ICE door-to-door operations across the country.
