According to EFE, the shooting occurred at the intersection of 15th Street and Independence Avenue in Washington.

Based on information from Secret Service Deputy Director Matt Quinn, plainclothes agents patrolling the perimeter identified a man who appeared to be carrying a firearm.

When agents approached him, the suspect briefly fled on foot.

At that moment, the individual pulled out a weapon and opened fire on the officers.

Agents returned fire and were able to wound the suspect.

The man was later transported to a hospital, although no details about his condition have been released.

Minor Injured During the Shooting

During the White House shooting, a minor passerby was injured.

Authorities indicated that the minor was struck by shots fired by the suspect.

Despite the seriousness of the incident, officials confirmed that the minor’s life is not in danger.

The situation raised concern due to the presence of civilians in the area at the time of the shooting.

The swift intervention by agents helped contain the situation in a highly sensitive zone.

Security Protocols Activated at the White House

Following the shooting incident, security measures were activated within the White House.

Reporters working on the White House grounds were temporarily confined to the press briefing room.

This procedure is part of established protocols during high-risk situations near the facility.

Despite the shooting, official activities continued without interruption.

President Donald Trump was simultaneously participating in a ceremony in the East Room of the White House alongside small business owners.

The incident occurred just minutes after Vice President JD Vance’s motorcade passed through the area.

However, authorities clarified that there is no evidence linking the two events.

The case remains under investigation as officials work to determine the full details and circumstances surrounding the armed confrontation.
