A worker died during a workplace accident at SpaceX, the aerospace company owned by Elon Musk, located in southern Texas, according to local media reports.
The incident comes as SpaceX continues testing its Starship program and amid previous sanctions and scrutiny over workplace safety conditions at its Starbase facilities.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has opened an investigation to determine what happened.
So far, local authorities have not publicly identified the victim.
Officials also have not released specific details about how the accident occurred.

According to EFE, citing the San Antonio Express-News, the accident occurred around 4:00 a.m. last Friday.
The Brownsville Fire Department initially responded after receiving an emergency call.
However, according to the report, officials later stated that SpaceX medical personnel would handle the situation.
The investigation was turned over to OSHA, the federal agency responsible for overseeing workplace safety conditions in the United States.
Authorities have not reported whether additional workers were injured during the incident.
The accident occurred inside Starbase.

That complex serves as the center where SpaceX manufactures and launches its Starship rockets.

SpaceX reschedules Starship launch
This Monday, SpaceX announced changes to the testing schedule for its Starship rocket.
The company rescheduled the spacecraft’s twelfth test launch for Wednesday.
