Hispanic Man Must Pay a Million Dollar Fine for Shooting Another Man
To regain his freedom, Osman Calderón Juárez, 27, must pay a bail of one million dollars.
This follows the Durham, North Carolina authorities charging him with severely injuring a man in front of his house.
The legal troubles for the Hispanic man began in the early hours of April 21, when a dying man in the emergency room of Duke University Hospital identified him as his assailant.

«The victim had been shot outside a residence in the 1300 block of Marne Avenue,» reported the Durham Police Department in a statement to MundoNow.
The investigation began that same night.

All clues led to the Hispanic man, and on April 23, officers identified Osman Calderón Juárez as responsible for the shooting.
«Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury; and possession of a firearm by a felon,» are the charges for which the police issued an arrest warrant against Calderón.
Detectives returned to the community, but the suspect was no longer there.
They searched for him throughout Durham County and all over North Carolina, without success.
They turned to the community for support and the United States Marshal Service (USMS).
For over a month, Calderón Juárez managed to hide and evade authorities.
