Two men were stabbed in broad daylight in Manhattan, and police are investigating whether the attacks constitute a hate crime.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed the arrest of a suspect following two violent assaults that occurred on the Upper West Side.
The alleged attacker, identified as Raul Morales, 51, reportedly had no prior connection to either victim.
Both men survived, but the incident has sparked widespread concern because of its brutality and possible motive.
Random Attacks in Busy Areas
The first attack took place near Central Park, where a 57-year-old Asian man was stabbed in the torso.
Minutes later, a second victim—a 50-year-old Jewish man—was attacked as he was leaving a synagogue.
According to authorities, the suspect used a screwdriver to stab him in the chest.
Witnesses and victims told investigators that the suspect shouted «Allahu Akbar» during both attacks.
Police are investigating whether the statement indicates an ideological motive or whether the assaults were isolated acts.
Hate Crime or Mental Health Episode?
The NYPD Commissioner, Jessica Tisch, said the case is being evaluated as a possible hate crime.
So far, investigators have found no evidence that the victims knew each other or had any connection to the suspect.
Authorities have also not confirmed any significant criminal history involving the suspect.
However, police have not ruled out the possibility that mental health issues may have played a role in the attacks.
The motive remains under investigation.
