The theory that Juan Gabriel is still alive has once again exploded on social media after a video recorded in a restaurant in Paris went viral.

In the footage, shared on TikTok in late 2025 and early 2026, a gray-haired man appears with a striking physical resemblance to the so-called “Divo de Juárez.”

The clip reignited speculation that has circulated for years in the Mexican entertainment world about a possible staged disappearance.

Now, the controversy has escalated further after journalist Jorge Carbajal publicly stated that he not only believes the singer is alive, but claims to have direct contact with him.

“I Have Conversations With Him”

In a recent interview, Carbajal said he has evidence supporting his claims.

The journalist stated that he communicates through messages and phone calls with who he insists is the real Juan Gabriel.

According to him, his suspicions began the day the singer’s death was announced, when he noticed what he described as unusual behavior during the funeral.

Carbajal said certain actions, such as hiding phone conversations, raised doubts that later turned into conviction—fueling ongoing speculation tied to whetehr Juan Gabriel is still alive.

Messages and Alleged Clues

The journalist explained that an acquaintance of his began receiving messages offering song rights from the artist at unusual prices.

Within those exchanges, he said he recognized a writing style that seemed familiar.

From there, he claimed he decided to confront the person behind the messages directly.

Since then, he says he has received audio recordings and materials that, according to his version, confirm that the composer is still alive.

Where Would Juan Gabriel Be?

Carbajal also said he attempted to physically verify the information he received.

He reported traveling to Jojutla de Juárez, where he was told the singer might be in another nearby location.

In his account, he added that there were even testimonies about community support following the 2017 earthquake, according to El Heraldo de México.

So far, there is no official confirmation supporting these claims. However, the statement has reignited one of the most persistent theories surrounding Juan Gabriel, keeping the debate alive among fans and skeptics alike.
