The host explained that there was never a manual to tell her whether she was making the right parenting decisions while raising Cristian and Ryan. In an interview with ¡Hola! magazine, she admitted that she often questioned whether she was doing enough as a mother.
«Look, there’s no manual for being a mom,» she said while reflecting on the most difficult years of raising her sons. She also revealed that there were times when she wrote notes to her children apologizing whenever she felt she had made a mistake.

«I’m sorry if I treated you badly,» she recalled writing in those notes. The presenter explained that because she was solely responsible for making day-to-day parenting decisions, she could not rely on another parental figure to share those responsibilities.
«I’m a single mom, so it’s not like I have the option or the luxury of saying, ‘Oh, wait until your dad gets here,'» she said.
Uncertainty Followed Every Stage of Motherhood
Dayanara Torres admitted that many nights ended with a prayer and the hope that she had done the right thing. «The only thing I could do was go to bed at night, pray, and say, ‘I hope I did it right,'» she confessed.
The television personality also acknowledged that guilt often becomes a constant burden for many mothers. Even so, she said she always tried to give her best with the knowledge and resources she had at the time.
«I did the best I could with what I knew and what I had,» she said.
For her, the greatest reward has been hearing the positive comments people make about the education, character, and values of her children.
Cristian and Ryan’s Present Is Her Greatest Source of Pride
Today, Cristian is pursuing a career as an artist focused on drawing, while Ryan has found opportunities as a model and is also studying music engineering.
Dayanara Torres believes their character and upbringing are the clearest signs that all her efforts were worthwhile.
«They’re so kind, so well-mannered, so professional,» she said while recalling the compliments others often give about her sons. The host said those words give her peace of mind about the job she did as a mother. She also highlighted the close relationship Cristian and Ryan continue to share, something she attributes to the love with which they were raised.

«Maybe they didn’t have the traditional family structure that people or society expects, but they were never lacking in love,» she said.
Dayanara’s Sons Reunite With Marc Anthony
While Dayanara’s comments were drawing attention, Ryan recently shared photos with his brother Cristian and their father, Marc Anthony. The images were posted on Instagram and show the family together backstage at one of the singer’s concerts.
In addition to the backstage photos, they were also seen gathering for a meal with several other people.
So far, neither Marc Anthony nor his sons have publicly commented on Dayanara’s remarks.
The photos, however, suggest that they continue to maintain a relationship, even though Dayanara recalled that she assumed most of the parenting responsibilities on her own, according to ¡Hola! magazine.
