The Wichita community is outraged after the alleged murderer of Aron Lara escaped after being granted probation five days after the murder.
Authorities issued an alert.
They presume that Eric González Gutiérrez is wandering in North Riverside after cutting off his ankle monitor and escaping.
The nightmare for Aron’s family seems endless since that Sunday, June 16, 2024.

When he decided to host a celebration to spend Father’s Day with his friends, and before the barbecue ended, one of his guests shot him dead and injured another neighbor.
Since 8:30 PM that day at Aron’s house, located at 1900 N Jackson Street, Wichita, Kansas, there has been no peace.

First, there was an argument at the celebration, then tragedy struck.
«The accused, a 33-year-old Hispanic man, returned to the house with a rifle and shot the unarmed victim,» explains the Wichita Police Department in its official report.
Officers located the suspect that same night and presented him in court on charges of first-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
To regain his freedom, González had to post a $1 million bond.
According to local laws, the accused could return to the streets if he paid at least 2% of the bond, which he did.
Investigators say that when it came time to track his location, they detected an irregularity and approached to verify.
Confirming that the accused violated his pre-trial restrictions on June 21 by cutting off his ankle monitor and escaping.
Now, the Wichita Police Department needs help to locate him and asks for the community’s support.
