Tragedy in Brazil: Gaspi and Oliver Tree Die in Accident

A tragedy shook the entertainment world this Sunday in Rio de Janeiro after a collision between two helicopters left six people dead, including Argentine YouTuber Gaspi and American singer Oliver Tree.
The death of two figures with major influence in social media and music has sparked global shock and left a void in the digital and cultural communities that closely followed their careers.
Gaspi, a Controversial Figure Who Left a Mark on Social Media
Gaspar Prim Díaz, known as Gaspi, was one of Argentina’s most recognized content creators, with more than 2.8 million followers on Instagram.
His irreverent style and controversial videos positioned him as a viral figure on digital platforms. In the past year, he had expanded his media exposure by participating in “La Velada del Año,” an event organized by Ibai Llanos that draws millions of viewers.
Gaspi also maintained a close connection with the audiovisual world, collaborating on creative projects and taking part in productions alongside his inner circle.
Oliver Tree, a Rising Global Star
Among the victims was also Oliver Tree, the 32-year-old American singer with a strong international presence.
The artist had nearly seven million subscribers on YouTube and reached major popularity with songs such as “Life Goes On,” which surpassed 400 million streams.
His death comes just before the start of a European tour scheduled for July, which amplifies the impact on the music industry and among his fans worldwide.
The Accident That Left Six Victims
The crash occurred at 8:59 a.m. in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhood, in the western area of Rio de Janeiro.
According to official reports, emergency teams initially found five burned bodies in one of the aircraft and later a sixth victim in the second helicopter, which fell about 100 meters from the initial impact.
The accident caused a large fire after one of the aircraft crashed into a parking lot, triggering a chain of explosions that destroyed around 20 electric vehicles.
Among the victims, authorities also identified Argentine audiovisual producer Lucas Vignale, 28, who had worked with artists such as Bizarrap, Duki, Wos, Trueno, and Nicki Nicole.
Brazilian authorities continue investigating the causes of the accident as international shock grows over the loss of influential entertainment figures.
