Which Teams Will Go to the Playoffs and Which Groups They’ll Join in the 2026 World Cup

The draw for the 2026 World Cup has already taken place, but six spots are still to be determined among the 48 participating teams. These places will come from the UEFA playoffs (4) and the intercontinental playoffs (2), which will be played in March 2026, completing the World Cup 2026 lineup.
How the World Cup 2026 vacant spots are identified
During the draw, these teams were placed as:
UEFA A, UEFA B, UEFA C, UEFA D, FIFA 1, and FIFA 2 (all in Pot 4).
UEFA A (Group B)

Competing teams: Italy, Northern Ireland, Wales, Bosnia
Will share group with: Canada, Qatar, and Switzerland
UEFA B (Group F)

Competing teams: Poland, Albania, Ukraine, Sweden
Group with: Netherlands, Japan, and Tunisia
UEFA C (Group D)

Competing teams: Turkey, Romania, Slovakia, Kosovo
Group with: United States, Paraguay, and Australia
UEFA D (Group A)

Competing teams: Denmark, North Macedonia, Ireland, Czech Republic
Group with: Mexico, South Africa, and South Korea
FIFA 1 (Group K)

Competing teams: DR Congo, New Caledonia, Jamaica
Group with: Portugal, Uzbekistan, and Colombia
FIFA 2 (Group I)

Competing teams: Iraq, Bolivia, Suriname
Group with: France, Senegal, and Norway
Everything will be decided in the World Cup 2026
The playoffs will take place in March 2026 and will complete the lineup for the largest World Cup in history.
