The 48 countries that will play in the 2026 World Cup, to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, have been confirmed. The final spots were secured after the UEFA playoffs and the intercontinental playoff.
Mexico already knows its World Cup 2026 rivals

The Mexican national team will face South Africa, South Korea, and Czechia in Group A, the latter qualifying after defeating Denmark on penalties.
Italy, the big absentee once again

Italy’s national team has once again failed to qualify for a World Cup. Bosnia eliminated them on penalties, leaving the Azzurra out of the tournament for the third consecutive edition.
United States completes its group

The host nation will face Paraguay, Australia, and Turkey, which secured its spot after defeating Kosovo away from home.
