A 15-year-old teenager killed two teachers inside a high school in Michoacán, in a case that has deeply shaken the local community.
The Michoacán school shooting exposes a violent act within an educational setting and has generated widespread concern.

According to EFE, the armed attack occurred around 9:00 am in Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán.
The teenager entered the Anton Makarenko high school armed.
According to the State Attorney General’s Office, he used a 5.56-caliber assault rifle.
The weapon was equipped with a magazine loaded with 40 rounds.
The attacker fired directly at two teachers inside the school.

The victims were identified as Tatiana Madrigal Bedolla and Mariana del Rosario Sagrero.
They were 37 and 36 years old, respectively.
The attack took place in the central area of the municipality.
The incident occurred at Anton Makarenko high school, an upper secondary educational institution.

According to Municipal Police, the alleged perpetrator is a student identified as Omar “N,” 15 years old.
Initial reports suggest the attack occurred after he was denied entry to the Anton Makarenko high school.
The student was reportedly unable to enter at the designated time.
He allegedly returned home afterward.
There, he obtained the firearm later used in the attack.
He then returned to the school and entered the premises armed.
At that point, he opened fire on the teachers.
Arrest and ongoing investigation
Municipal Police officers managed to subdue and disarm the teenager.
He was placed under the custody of the State Attorney General’s Office.
Authorities reported that they are analyzing the suspect’s social media accounts.
He had allegedly posted images and a video with the weapon beforehand.
Investigators are also examining the origin of the rifle used in the attack.
Authorities are reviewing the teenager’s family environment.
They are also assessing his behavior within the school.
The mayor of Lázaro Cárdenas, Manuel Esquivel Bejarano, addressed the case.
He stated that the local government will provide support to the victims’ families.
The teachers were recognized members of the local community.
