This was evidenced in a video shared by the entertainment account ‘Chismecito Channel’ on Instagram.
In the recording, the Rivera family matriarch stated that Lupillo «suffered a lot» due to the «attacks» he received.

She made these statements without naming names, though many interpreted her comments as referring to Maripily Rivera, with whom Lupillo had several confrontations on the show.
«My son was there for so long, he endured a lot of violence. I say that if I had been there, I would have hit that woman with a frying pan,» she declared.
«He was brave to stay there for so many days, putting up with that woman. Enduring all the hatred, because there was nothing but hatred, envy, everything,» Doña Rosa expressed.
She also thanked Telemundo for giving her son the opportunity to show another side of himself to the public.
