U.S. President Donald Trump once again launched attacks against Republican candidates who have questioned his administration.
The political offensive is part of what is already known in the country as the “revenge tour.”
The president has focused his efforts on supporting candidates aligned with his movement within the Republican Party.
Trump is seeking to consolidate political control over the party ahead of the November legislative elections.
The president is also trying to push aside Republican figures considered disloyal after tensions that emerged following the 2020 election and the attack on the Capitol.

According to the EFE news agency, Trump once again expressed his support for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
Paxton will face current Republican Senator John Cornyn next Tuesday in the primaries to determine the Republican candidate for the Senate.
The winner will compete against a Democratic candidate in November.
In a message posted on Truth Social, Trump praised Paxton’s work and directly questioned Cornyn.

“TEXANS, REMEMBER! Ken Paxton was a GREAT Attorney General, probably the best in the country. He was also very loyal to your favorite President — ME — … Ken’s opponent was VERY disloyal to me in my capacity as President,” the president wrote.
Trump continues pressuring his electoral base to push Cornyn out of the way.
The president is seeking to repeat results similar to those obtained on May 19 during Republican primaries held in Pennsylvania, Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, and Oregon.
In those states, most Trump-backed candidates prevailed.
Cornyn Tries to Resist the Political Offensive

John Cornyn has represented Texas in the Senate since 2002.
Despite the presidential endorsement of Paxton, the senator has shown no signs of leaving the race.
Cornyn has focused his campaign on presenting himself as the only Republican capable of defeating Democrat James Talarico.
Talarico recently received the endorsement of former President Barack Obama.
Cornyn’s case recalls the situation of Republican Senator Bill Cassidy.
Cassidy voted in favor of convicting Trump during the 2021 impeachment trial related to the attack on the Capitol.
He later lost the Louisiana Republican primary to Julia Letlow, who was backed by Trump.
The president’s strategy is aimed at politically punishing those he considers internal opponents within the party.
Trump Also Criticizes Republicans Over Iran Deal
The president also lashed out Sunday at Republican lawmakers who questioned the tentative agreement with Iran.
Trump called the critics “losers.”
Among the Republican senators who expressed concerns are Ted Cruz and Roger Wicker.
The lawmakers criticized the concessions made by the United States and questioned the justification for the military offensive launched in February against the Islamic Republic.
According to critics, the Iranian regime could end up strengthened after the negotiations.
In addition to the disputes in Texas and Washington, Trump also gave his endorsement to Ty Masterson.
Masterson is president of the Kansas State Senate and a prominent figure in the conservative Republican wing.
The politician is seeking to take the Kansas governorship from Democrats as the Trump Republican primaries fight expands across the country.
