British actor John Nolan died on April 11, 2026, at the age of 87, according to reports from the Stratford-Upon-Avon Herald and industry outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter and Variety.

Born in London on May 22, 1938, Nolan built an extensive career in theater, film, and television.

He trained at the Drama Centre London and worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
He performed in productions such as Julius Caesar and The Merry Wives of Windsor.
He later joined the National Theatre under the direction of Trevor Nunn.
In his early years, he also toured Ireland with traveling theater companies.
He portrayed Romeo at the Richmond Theatre alongside actress Francesca Annis.

John Nolan’s stage work included adaptations and original projects.
