It has been a tough week for the entertainment world in the U.S.
On Monday, September 30, it was announced that actor, singer, and composer Gavin Creel had passed away.
A day later, despite having died in late August, news of actor John Amos’s death was made public.
In a similar case to John, last Wednesday, October 2, it was revealed that actor Ron Hale had passed away.
He appeared in General Hospital

Ronald Hale Thigpen, Ron Hale’s full name, was born on January 2, 1946, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.
His family recently announced that the actor passed away on August 27. No cause of death was revealed.

In General Hospital, he portrayed Mike Corbin, the father of mafia boss Sonny Corinthos.
He was on the show from 1995 to 2011, after which actor Max Gail took over the role.
But Ron Hale didn’t only shine in General Hospital; he also starred in Ryan’s Hope alongside Nancy Addison and Michael Levin.
According to Daily Mail, Ron played the character Dr. Roger Coleridge.
For his performance, he was nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1979 and 1980.
He also appeared in hit shows like Matlock and MacGyver in 1989 and 1990, respectively.
Who could forget Ron Hale’s performance in All the President’s Men, where he starred alongside Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman?
His last acting role was in the film The Ghost and the Whale in 2017. A year later, he confirmed his retirement.
Ron married Dood Hale in 1972, who passed away in 1989, and he became a stepfather to her three teenage children.
According to his obituary, Ron Hale is survived by his nieces and nephews.
