The 2026 World Cup final will mark a turning point in football history by including, for the first time, a halftime show similar to the Super Bowl.
The announcement was made by Gianni Infantino during the Semafor World Economy 2026.

The show will feature collaboration with Global Citizen, which has previously participated in similar events such as the 2025 Club World Cup.
That event included artists like J Balvin, Doja Cat, and Tems.

The 2026 World Cup final is expected to reach a global audience of more than 1.5 billion viewers.
With this new format, FIFA aims to elevate the tournament’s impact and position it as one of the most spectacular events in the world, driven in part by the debut of the halftime show.
