Alexander Otaola, a well-known presenter and Trump supporter, secured 12%.

Levine Cava Celebrates Reelection and Prioritizes Miami-Dade’s Well-being

With 97% of the votes counted, Levine Cava maintains a lead of more than 30 points.

In Little Havana, the mayor celebrated her reelection at a popular neighborhood bar.

Her priority, she said, will continue to be the well-being of the nearly three million residents of the county.

Levine Cava, who manages an annual budget of over $9 billion, highlighted affordable housing and public transport as key issues.

El Nuevo Herald described her victory as a reinforcement of her status within Florida’s Democratic Party.

Rumors suggest a possible gubernatorial candidacy in 2026, though the mayor has denied it.

Turnout was only 19%, ten points lower than in previous elections.

Manny Cid, despite the loss, congratulated Levine Cava, though he criticized the low turnout.

«She only got 57% of the votes, with 19% turnout. It’s not the impressive victory they were expecting,» he said.

«I am focused on fulfilling my promise,» stated Levine Cava at the end of the election day.
