The news comes shortly after TMZ reported an emergency hospitalization on March 19. According to reports, Chuck Norris received medical attention following an undisclosed health emergency. His family expressed gratitude for the prayers and support received during that brief moment and asked for privacy as they grieve.
Just days earlier, on March 10, for his 86th birthday, Chuck shared a video of himself practicing martial arts under the sun.
“I turned 86 today! Nothing like a little playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young,” he wrote in what would become his final message to fans.
He also thanked supporters for his good health and for having “the best fans in the world.”
The Legacy of the “Texas Ranger”
Norris’ career gained momentum in action films during the late 1970s and 1980s. However, his definitive breakthrough came in 1993 with the series Walker, Texas Ranger, where he portrayed Cordell Walker until 2001. After the show ended, he remained active in action films until 2005. He later returned for special appearances in The Expendables 2 (2012) and cameos in series such as The Goldbergs (2015) and Hawaii Five-0 (2020).
At the time of his passing, the actor was married to model Gena O’Kelley, whom he wed in 1998 and with whom he shared twins, Dakota and Danilee. He is also survived by his sons Mike and Eric from his first marriage to Dianne Kay Holechek (who passed away in 2025). Chuck Norris’ death in 2026 marks the end of an era, leaving behind not only an iconic filmography but also a lasting impact on millions through his discipline, strength, and kindness.
