Sad news to start the seventh month of the year. Azucena Rodríguez, a celebrated actress and voice artist, has passed away at the age of 69. The news was confirmed through the social media accounts of the National Association of Actors (ANDA).
Azucena Rodríguez, originally from Spain, was a respected voice actress and film director.
«The National Association of Actors deeply regrets the passing of our honorary member Azucena Rodríguez,» the statement read.
Condolences were extended to her husband, actor Jorge Fink, as well as to her family and friends.

According to Milenio, ‘Azu’ is the sister of actress Alicia Rodríguez and the mother of actress Azucena Rebollo.
In addition to her work in voice acting and film, she had a notable participation in various television productions.
Azucena Rodríguez is known for lending her voice to characters such as Agent 99 in the series «Get Smart.»
She also voiced Connie Corleone in the first two installments of «The Godfather.»
Rodríguez began her career as a co-writer and assistant director. She debuted as a director with the film «Entre rojas» in 1995.
As of now, the causes of her passing have not been revealed.
Azucena Rodríguez also directed the film «Atlas de geografía humana,» for which she won several awards at various film festivals.
She lent her voice to characters like Holly Gennaro McClane in «Die Hard» and Rosemary Woodhouse in «Rosemary’s Baby.»
Additionally, she participated in the cartoons «The Jetsons» and «The Woody Woodpecker Show.»
She passed away at the age of 69. May she rest in peace.
